For the follow-up single, “Reunion,” Fleur & Manu were again tapped to continue to story of the kids introduced in “Midnight City,” now being pursued by the handlers they escaped from in the previous clip.

Now the band’s mastermind, Anthony Gonzalez, has released the video for latest single “Wait,” another Fleur & Manu production that completes the video trilogy that began with “Midnight City.” Watch it here.

“‘Wait’ is the final episode of the trilogy,” Fleur & Manu said in a statement regarding the clip. “The end point of this great visual collaboration that has been ongoing with M83 throughout 2012. We felt it was important to re-connect with a meaningful subject that would have an echo in today’s world. The promise of a new cycle, seen through the kid’s eyes.”

“I love composing music and making music with pictures in my head, it’s really what’s driving me,” added Gonzalez on the M83 website. “Cinema is the biggest influence for me – even bigger than music itself, so this album is built as a soundtrack, as an imaginary film. This is what we tried to convey with this trilogy.”

M83 is primed and ready to bring their sonic bliss to the 23^rd annual KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas concert on Night 2, playing alongside the likes of the Killers, Jack White, fun. and Passion Pit. While both nights of the show are sold out, fans can watch all of the onstage action when each night will be webcast right here next Monday and Tuesday (December 10 & 11) starting at 10 am PT/1 pm ET.

In addition to discussing Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong and his recent “meltdown,” the two also touched on what their recording process is like. “We’re one of those bands that actually writes songs together,” explained Fallon. “There’s always songs being written.”

Horowitz added, “I think the bands who think that their window is always going to stay open are kinda stupid. Sometimes you only get a limited time to get your songs out there to the world. Who knows when the hell that’s gonna stop.”

Then to lighten the mood, the two were asked about the most ridiculous request they’ve ever put on their tour rider. A rider is basically a list of demands from the venue or show producer. The answer wasn’t what you’d expect.

“One time we put a guerrilla suit on the rider, but it was for our friend that was out with us. We were opening for the Foo Fighters in Spain and there was about 16,000 people. It was just like ‘What would be the funniest thing we could possibly do to take the lightheartedness and put it into this situation,’ which is daunting, ya know, to open up for the Foo Fighters first of all and then in front of 16,000 Spanish people who don’t know your band,” said Fallon. “So we made our friend come out to ‘Fight For Your Right To Party’ by the Beastie Boys, dressed in a guerrilla suit, hammered drunk.”

Horowitz chimed in, “There’s nothing better to break the ice than putting a short Italian guy in a guerrilla suit.”

The movie is a loving look back at the now-shuttered Sound City recording studio of Van Nuys, California, and the many artists who’ve recorded classic albums there, including Nine Inch Nails, Rage Against the Machine, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Cheap Trick, Metallica and Fleetwood Mac. Grohl himself is part of the studio’s storied past, with Nirvana recording their legendary Nevermind album there.

“As a first time director, I am humbled to be able to share my passion for songwriting and storytelling with this incredible cast of legendary musicians, as seen through the extraordinary story of America’s greatest unsung recording studio, Sound City,” Grohl said in a press release. “Being included in this group of artists is a true honor, and the Sundance Film Festival is the perfect place to premiere a film about craft, integrity, and passion for art. I am over the moon!”

Many of the music industry heavy-hitters who’ve recorded at Sound City appear in the film, including Trent Reznor, Lars Ulrich of Metallica and Corey Taylor of Slipknot.

After releasing a series of video teasers, the film’s producers have revealed the official full-length movie trailer, encapsulating the studio’s historical importance, as well as its’ eventually demise, in no small part due to the emergence of digital and computer-based recording techniques.

Grohl was most recently part of the star-studded tribute to Led Zeppelin during this year’s Kennedy Centers Honors ceremony, playing drums on Zeppelin classics “Rock and Roll” and “Black Dog.”

According to the member’s various tweets, the band was somewhere between Cleveland and Chicago on December 2 when the tour bus mishap occurred.

“So our bus had a bit of a crash this morning!” The band tweeted from their official account. “Thankfully everyone involved is OK! Chicago we are still coming to rock you, don’t worry.”

“So we got in an accident this morning,” added the band’s drummer, James Cassells. “Thankfully everyone is OK!”

Casells also sent out a picture showing the damage to the band’s bus.

The band’s lead guitarist Ben Bruce added a couple of his own pictures of the bus damage, mentioning his sprained ankle.

Asking Alexandria is just the latest band to endure a tour bus crash this year, including Georgia metal band Baroness, whose bus plummeted more than 30 feet in a horrific accident in England earlier this past summer, severely injuring members of the band. Miraculously, there were no casualties in the incident.

But for many longtime fans, there will always be something special about the White Stripes, which officially dissolved in early 2011 amidst rumors regarding the band’s drummer, Meg White, and her much-publicized bouts with anxiety.

White Stripes fans aren’t alone in lamenting the band’s demise. Jack White himself has admitted that he too pines for the red and white candy-colored act that made him famous.

“Yeah, I will always miss the White Stripes,” White said during an interview for Esquire UK‘s January 2013 music issue that features him on the cover. “My dad’s dead; it’s like say do you miss your dad? Of course, I always will. How could I not?”

Jack White has spent most of this year touring in support of his solo album, Blunderbuss.
